Plot continues from Fantastic Four 255. A strange and powerful force field is emanating from the Baxter Building and spreading outward across Manhattan! Who has created this massive barrier? The lord of the Negative Zone! And Annihilus plans to merge Earth's solar system with the Negative Zone and destroy everything! However, the Avengers are pulling out all the stops to penetrate the barrier including calling in the Vision and the Scarlet Witch! But when the Vision collapses inside the null-field, Earth's Mightiest Heroes go to their last option...Captain Marvel! In dazzling fashion, the newest avenger becomes a gamma ray laser beam, breaks through the barrier, and stuns Annihilus!
Has Captain Marvel cleared the path to victory? Or do the Avengers need help from the FF to finish Annihilus?
